A Virtual Exhibition of COVID-19 Face Masks from Around the World

Black Lives Matter Toronto mask

After the murder of Black American, George Floyd, Nadia Lloyd and her son fought back against racism and discrimination by co-designing a Toronto mask. It depicts the Toronto skyline with a closed fist (symbol of solidarity) rising up with the CN Tower. It was purchased by NBA Raptors for the basketball team and management to address racial inequity. When coach, Nick Nurse, and guard, Fred VanVleet, wore the masks during a TV news conference, her social media accounts went viral. By summer it raised over $7000 for Black Lives Matter Toronto.
