Though created just prior to the emergence of COVID-19, Levav’s Indy Rebich mask’s narrative discusses concerns about potential global pandemics due to increased human habitation, loss of habitat and industrialisation. It ironically predicted the soon-to-be-realised global situation we have all found ourselves in, and remains a powerful visual reminder of the causes leading to this current period of history.
