A Virtual Exhibition of COVID-19 Face Masks from Around the World

Scrunchie and mask

During Israel's first lockdown, fashion designer Neta Revel was on an unpaid leave in her home at Tel Aviv. When she learned about the mask wearing instruction issued by the government, she decided to do it fashionably. At home she started sewing pastel color mask and scrunchie sets for the fashionable Tel Avivian. Soon, her sets became the “must have” accessory. The mask is made of double layered fabrics with an inner wire to shape the nose. The inner layer is made from cotton, while the outer layer is made from rich fabrics like wild silk or brocade.
