Kain mask
This mask was made by Cathy Domigyay, a weaver from the village of Can-eo, Mt Province, but migrated to Baguio City. She participated in the Mandeko Kito (Let us Sell), an artisanal fair organized by the Museo Kordilyera, University of the Philippines Baguio to help local artisans, craftsmen, weavers and artists to help sell their goods. Their source of livelihood was badly affected during the pandemic, hence the venue was an opportunity to sell their handwoven products. The mask is made from fringes of an old skirt (kain) upcycled to serve as facemask.
